John Perinbam

John Perinbam is a Canadian recording artist, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist best known as founder and lead vocalist of Canadian heavy metal legends Ivory Knight.
John’s music encompasses and incorporates influences from various styles including pop, rock, hard rock, progressive, and heavy metal.
Ivory Knight appeared in the Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles article "O Canada, Our Home and Metal Land! The List - Great White Metal A-Z;" in issue #92, among greats such as Rush, Saga, Voivod, Annihilator, Exciter, and Anvil!
John has made recent guest appearances on several songs by producer and Ivory Knight guitar wizard Rob Gravelle, including covers of Dream Police (Cheap Trick), Highway Star (Deep Purple). And Suspended Animation (The Monks). More songs are in the works.
John's latest solo release was 2020's rock ballad 'Picture on the Wall’ on which he plays all the instruments and sings all the vocals.
John’s CD, Knightfall, was produced, engineered, and mixed by metal legend and Annihilator mastermind Jeff Waters, who also played guitar and bass and cowrote several songs on the CD. The album was recorded at Watersound Studios and features guest vocal appearances by Dave Padden (ex-Annihilator) and Dan Beehler (Exciter), as well as a guitar solo by Waters. Ivory Knight colleague Rob Gravelle played most of the guitar solos and co-composed several tracks.
John is also the lead singer of Ottawa's Enforcer.
John has been involved in many great bands over the years. He was the original bassist of popular cover band Raw Sugar. He played 2nd guitar and sang lead before moving to the bass duties for Ottawa-based alternative act Dr. Squish, and was the original lead singer and founding member of Sudden Thunder.
